Who’s Behind Founder Freedom?

Hi, I'm Garth.

I’ve been there, done that, worn the hair shirt.

My entrepreneurial journey began at 5 years old, selling hand drawn halloween masks in front of my house (luckily being self employed meant I didn’t fall foul of child-labour laws). From there I arbitraged Apple products between the US and UK, freelance web-developed as a teen and founded an illicit tuck shop out of my university dorm room (Garth’s Snack Shack).

By the time I was 25, I founded a web design agency and then merged it with a digital marketing agency at 28. That new entity ultimately acquired and merged three other smaller agencies, grew to over 150 clients, two offices and many wonderful staff. We intentionally built the agency with an eventual exit in mind and we successfully took it through to a strategic acquisition by a competitor in 2023.

I learnt so much along the journey from inception through to acquisition and I’m here to share those lessons with you. I expect my hard-won learnings will shortcut you to confidence and liberation when your time comes and you will be rewarded for your efforts like I was.
